About Me
Hi there! My name is Grant and I am a computer science graduate with additional experience in ux/ui and graphic design. I like to think of myself as a half programmer, half artist... a were-programmer? Were-artist? Something like that.
I graduated from Creighton University with both a Digital Development and a Computer Science degree, so I'm still figuring out whether I want to do web development or software engineering. I hope to continue to find opportunities and learn from those who seek to create great things.
When I've got a free moment, I enjoy reading, chess, and video games.
Skills
While the vast majority of my education involved Java and Python programming, I am comfortable with JavaScript, having learned the MERN stack for full-stack development. I have also learned the basics of PHP and SQL. I have made a game or two using Unity, and have dabbled in learning about Go and Rust.
I have a solid understanding of algorithms and data strucutres, and have had some experience working in an agile/SCRUM-like environment.
Design-wise, I have experience with HTML and CSS, and understand how to create responsive designs. I can create style guides, wireframes, and mockups in Framer and Adobe XD, and can manipulate raster and vector images in Photoshop and Illustrator. I have also done a bit of 3D modeling in Blender.
